The map in the Headstart kit was brilliant. We actually had another map from a guide book but the panoramic map was much more accurate and much easier to use. We did not use the transport tickets but we were staying very centrally and it was possible to walk everywhere. The translation cards were very useful in our preparation but we didn't find it necessary whilst we were in Prague. The Preplan was very good - we knew what was on and when it was on and didn't waste time trying to find things out.

We found your headstart kit an excellent resource for our weekend in Prague last year, well worth joining PayPal to get the bundle. Particularly useful were the CIT tickets as we were in an "out of town" hotel with no Czech change for the ticket machines. Even though we had new guide books the kit was a useful supplement, especially as it fitted in the pocket. The site itself was also very useful in planning where to go and what to do.

We were in Prague Dec-10 thru Dec-14, and then continued for three weeks through other sections of Europe, so only recently returned home. Missing it already. We had a wonderful time in Prague! Also forward any e-mails that you'd like, I'd be happy to share my experiences and vouch for your offering. Surprisingly, the best thing in your kit was the couple of subway passes and the map. We never needed to your the translation cards, everyone we spoke to either could manage enough English, or we could manage enough German to meet on what we wanted/needed.

My wife and I visited Prague in May, 2003. We made extensive use of the Essential Prague website in planning our three days in Prague. The information proved invaluable to us. It is very practical information for every visitor. It is detailed and obviously comes from a resident, not just a travel writer who has passed through on the way to a lot of other places. I highly recommend any of the items Jason sells. We already had plenty of guidebooks and maps by the time I found the website. However, I found the information so valuable, I sent money to Jason using PayPal.

As an inexperienced traveller I found the Headstart Kit invaluable on my first visit to Prague, for a weekend trip with my teenage granddaughter. The background information you gave was interesting and helpful. We even managed to use a few words of Czech although nearly everyone spoke English. The description of food (and drink) was also very useful. We did not use the transport tickets as we walked everywhere but they would have been useful on a longer visit. The map you supplied was a great help. Some of the information seemed more applicable to a long term stay where one would be more involved with the local people, but fascinating all the same. The Headstart Kit is a really good investment. Payment through PayPal is probably the safest way to buy goods on the Internet from a supplier you do not know.

I printed a lot of the pages and spent hours reading etc so, I thought it was fair to offer a donation as you saved me a lot of trouble and more importantly, I felt more comfortable about being in Eastern Europe for the first time.

I didn't think that you could save a backpacker any time or money but, my short journey on the 119 bus from the airport would have been expensive without your help. My mother asked for the headstart kit for the transport tickets, map and the help cards. At the airport I used two of the tickets, one for me and one for my backpack as per your advice. People who I had met chose not to queue to buy tickets and got on the bus without them. There was an inspector on the bus and my friends paid more for that single trip than for the rest of our stay put together. The bonus was the How to Eat Czech guide which enabled us to eat quite cheaply. I thanked my mother for the gift and she loved the map so much that I gave it to her as a souvenir.
