Tip - in a general emergency dial 112 as you are more likely to get an English speaker. In an emergency at your place of residence try and use the fixed line first as this will automatically give the services your location.

The digit "0" has now been dropped from the beginning of all phone numbers i.e a mobile that was 0603 445445 is now 603 445445. Like wise, if you want to dial a fixed line. The difference with a fixed line is that you must dial the whole number i.e. if you were in the old 0323 area and you wanted to make a local call, you would dial 665721 etc. Now you must dial 323 665721 regardless of whether you are in the local area or not. For this page, you dial the number as you see it here.

    Embassies

I used to publish each individual embassy in Prague on this page but, it kept going out of date. I therefore replaced everything with a single link to the English pages of the Czech Foreign Ministry. Go to the Embassy Details page, click the Diplomatic Missions tab and select which option you need i.e. Foreign missions in Czech or Czech missions abroad etc..
