How to......
Order event tickets online
Go to the Ticketpro website.
Ticketpro provides the largest amount of choice for gigs, opera and ticketed concerts in the Czech Republic. Their webpage is at http://www.ticketpro.cz and the following guide applies only to the ticketpro site. Ticketpro now asks for registration to use the site so when you get to the ticket selection you will be asked to login or register. This involves entering information like name, address, telephone number and email etc. I have been through this process already and you don’t get any spam. The address info is really only if you want tickets delivered by post and that is only available in the Czech Republic.
When you open the main page, select the "English version" at the top left of the page and from then on, if English is available it will be displayed.
On the right of the page is the search box where you can enter a keyword if you want and select a category i.e. your keyword might be „jazz“ and the category „Music“. Click search and this will display a list of gigs in the next month. Underneath is the „Advanced Search“ link which requires a keyword and you can specify the date info. You may find that the dropdown box of the „Due“ category is more helpful as it lists gigs in week and month details. Personally if I am searching only a couple of weeks ahead, I prefer not to use the advanced search option.
The next screen has the selection results and you click on the name of the option or a link which looks like [TICKETS]. This is where you are asked to log in or register. After you complete the registration and click „Save“, a box will appear with the ticket details and price. Sometimes the website has a bug that it asks you to login again. If this happens, go back and make your selection again. If necessary, quit the whole site and open a new page because the system will recognise that you are logged on. Change the „count“ field to how many tickets you want and click on the „add to basket“ box.
The next page confirms the number of tickets and event info. Click on „Checkout“ to continue.
You are now in the delivery section and my advice is to select the option to collect at the Prague Tourist Center outlet, Rytírská 12, Prague 1 (opening hours: Mon - Sun 09:00-20:00 CET). Click on the „continue“ box.
You must now confirm the delivery instructions. Your personal info is in the box on the left. The delivery conditions are on the right and the top line of this box should read „Delivery method : Vyzvednutí v pokladni PTC“ which means collect the tickets at the local PTC office. Put a tick in the box of „I agree with the delivery conditions“ and click continue.
You are now in the payment selection page. Put a tick in the box of the desired credit or debit card as shown and click „pay“.
The website has „language recognition“ software so the language of the next page will be set by the country from which you are using your computer. Essentially you are asked for your credit card number, expiry date and 3-digit control code found on the back of the credit card. Click „Pay“ or continue.
The next page is for confirmation and ticket details. Print this page and bring it with you
when you collect your ticket(s).
You must also bring the credit card with which you bought the ticket(s) because you will be asked for it at the time of collection at the local Prague office.
